Minister of Power, Chief Adebayo Adelabu has congratulated former Osun State Governor and former interim Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Chief Bisi Akande on his 86th birthday describing him as an exceptional Nigerian.
A statement by Bolaji Tunji, Special Adviser, Strategic Communication and Media Relations to the Minister described the life of Chief Akande as “testament to his unwavering dedication to public service and unshakeable commitment to progressive ideals”.
The statement reads:
“ I am delighted to extend my warmest congratulations to this exceptional Nigerian, Baba Bisi Akande on the occasion of his 86th birthday celebration today, January 16. 2025.
“Baba’s life is a testament to his unwavering dedication to public service, his unshakeable commitment to the progressive ideals, and his unrelenting passion for the development of our great nation. As a former Governor of Osun State and the first interim National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Baba has left an indelible mark on Nigeria’s political landscape.
“He has demonstrated remarkable leadership, vision, and integrity, earning him the respect of all. Indeed, his tenure as Governor of Osun State was marked by prudent management of resources, transparency, and accountability. He laid a solid foundation for the development of Osun State
“The country has also benefitted from Baba’s wisdom and commitment to nationhood and democratic ideals. His loyal and dedicated support to Mr. President and the Renewed Hope Agenda is worthy of emulation. He has helped in shaping our great party, the APC into a formidable movement while his mentorship and guidance have inspired generations of politicians.
