Wike’s Intent To Destroy PDP, Says Atiku’s Aide Ibe

The Special Adviser on Media and Publicity to Atiku Abubakar, the former presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, has accused the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Nyesom Wike, of bad intentions.

Ibe said Wike’s decision to remain in the PDP was to fight and destroy the former ruling party.

He was reacting to the minister’s comment that he would remain in the PDP and fight.

Speaking during a media parley to mark his one year in office, Wike said he would rather remain in PDP and fight than defect to the All Progressives Congress, APC.

“I don’t run away from any fight. I will stay there (in the PDP) and fight it out. Who am I going to run from? The vampires?” Wike said.

He also added: “When I was there in the PDP, didn’t I tell them I would not support your presidential candidate? Did I do it secretly?”

Reacting in a post on X, Ibe wrote: “Yes, it is good to fight. But it depends on what you are fighting for (read destroying). If a son stands by and watches his father being insulted and denigrated without putting up a fight in defence of his beloved father, then such a son stands qualified to be identified as a bastard.

“Only a prodigal son will mortgage his father’s inheritance. And only a Judas Iscariot will sell his master for 30 pieces of silver.”
