Tinubu Mourns As Namibia’s President Dies


President Bola Tinubu joined eminent citizens of the world to mourn the passing of President Hage Geingob of Namibia.

President Hage Geingob, aged 82, died of cancer while receiving medical attention at a hospital in Windhoek, the Namibian capital on Sunday.

President Tinubu, in a statement released by his media aide, Mr. Ajuri Ngelale, described Geingob as a veteran in the struggle for democracy, a proponent of good governance, and an advocate of economic, social, and political solidarity among African peoples. 

Tinubu stressed that the death of the Namibian President came at a time when Africa needed visionary leaders who can strengthen bonds across borders and in all fields of human endeavour.
