Nigeria Labour Congress NLC President, Ayuba Wabba with his National Union of Local Government Employees (NULGE) counterpart, Mr. Olatunji Ambali as well as other Labour leaders this morning embarked on an advocacy rally to the National Assembly.
The two day rally is ahead voting on the proposed amendments to the 1999 Constitution by the two chambers of the National Assembly.
The NLC , has for a while, been advocating support to the bills seeking administrative and judicial autonomy to local governments, the judiciary and the legislature.
NLC is specifically calling on its ten million membership to determine the fate of Nigeria’s new leaders in 2023. It also wants an end to the attempts by hike petroleum prices by marketers .
