Seyi Makinde Secures Victory as INEC Declares Him Winner of Oyo State Governorship Election

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has announced the incumbent Governor, Seyi Makinde, as the winner of the Oyo State Governorship Election. According to reports, Makinde emerged victorious after polling a total of 536,756 votes, as declared by the Returning Officer for the election, Professor Adebayo Bamire.

The All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate, Senator Teslim Folarin, trailed far behind in second place, while Adebayo Adelabu of the Accord Party came in third.
