A Rep-elect, Mr Benjamin Olabinjo, has expressed satisfaction at the peaceful conduct of the Governorship and House of Assembly Elections in his constituency, Ifako-Ijaiye Federal Constituency of Lagos State.
Olabinjo told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Lagos that he was also impressed at the turnout of voters at the just concluded polls.
According to him, voters conducted themselves orderly before, during and after the elections, and that is how it should be.
He described the conduct of the voters as a demonstration of their patriotism and willingness to perform civic duties.
‘’I am very impressed by the way we conducted ourselves today and even came out early for the elections, the turnout is okay,” he said.
He also lauded the efficiency of the Biomodal Voter Accreditation System (BVAS), adding that INEC personnel were effective.
Also assessing the conduct of the election, Mr Temitope Adewale of the All Progressives Congress, who vied for the Ifako-Ijaiye Constituency 1 seat in the state Assembly, also expressed satisfaction.
Adewale said that members of his constituency had always demonstrated a high sense of patrotism.
