The deputy governorship candidate of the Young Peoples Party, Mr. Agbor Onyi, and three others, including an Assistant Superintendent of Immigration, were abducted on Thursday evening along the Calabar-Ogoja Highway in Cross River State.
They were traveling to Northern Cross River when the kidnappers stopped their Toyota Corolla and took them into the forest. The Cross State Police Command is working to ensure their release and has directed drastic action be taken. A source revealed that the kidnappers initially demanded N60 million ransom, which they later reduced it to N40 million.
