Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has suspended former Ekiti State Governor, Ayodele Fayose, former Senate President, Pius Anyim, Prof. Dennis Ityavyar, and Aslam Aliyu over alleged anti-party activities. The party’s decision was made following an extensive review of its affairs, in accordance with the PDP Constitution, which was amended in 2017.

The suspension is immediate, and the party has also referred Benue State Governor, Samuel Ortom, to the National Disciplinary Committee over his alleged involvement in anti-party activities.

The PDP has urged its leaders, critical stakeholders, and members across Nigeria to remain focused and united at this critical time.

Meanwhile, Fayose has blamed stakeholders and politicians for the majority of the challenges facing Nigeria, noting that the country has not changed since 1979.

He also said that the system is sick, and nobody is protecting it, adding that instead of blaming the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Nigeria needs to draw a red line like the military..
