An Assistant Commissioner of Police attached to Zone 6 Police Headquarters Calabar, ACP (Barr) Vivian Chinemerem Aworonye has been killed by a commercial motorcyclist in Calabar metropolis, Cross River State of Nigeria.

She was on transfer from the Force Legal Department, Abuja to Calabar before her untimely death.

Sources claimed that the senior Police boss, who was staying temporarily in one of the offices within Zone 6 due to accommodation problems, was knocked down by a motorcycle rider at the weekend.

She reportedly suffered head injuries and was rushed to a private facility located about 1.5 kilometers East of the Headquarters, Zone 6 Command Department of the Nigerian Police Force.

She was later referred to a Psychiatrist Hospital, considering the head injury before she was moved to a Teaching Hospital where she later died.
