Ogun Governor Abiodun Wins Second Term

Dapo Abiodun, the All Progressives Congress gubernatorial candidate and incumbent Governor of Ogun State, has won re-election for a second term.

The announcement was made by the returning governorship election officer, Prof. Kayode Adebowale, at the collation center in the state after all 20 local government areas were collated. Abiodun secured 276,298 votes, defeating the People’s Democratic Party candidate, Oladipupo Adetutu, by a margin of 13,915 votes.

The total number of registered voters was 2,688,305, with 66,406 accredited voters. A total of 645,133 votes were cast, with 18,835 votes declared invalid.
