…..Urges Residents to have faith

Chairman of Ojodu Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Mr. Segun Odunmbaku has commended Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu for the ‘Ounje Eko Programme’, describing it as laudable.
This is contained in a statement by Bello Yakub, Chief Press Secretary to the Chairman of Ojodu LCDA on Monday in Lagos.
Odunmbaku who expressed his confidence in the Lagos State’s ‘Ounje Eko Programme’ said the initiative would provide affordable food items to Ojodu residents and Lagosians.
He urged the people to have faith in government’s palliative programmes, adding, ‘this will cushion the effect of economic challenges faced by households’.
“This is a wonderful initiative by our state government, a measure which offers discounted prices on essential food items such as rice, beans, garri, and others.
According to the statement, the Chairman stated this when he visited the venue of the ‘Ounje Eko Prigramme’ located in Ojodu LCDA.
He noted that the government, at all levels, is committed to supporting residents to overcome the global economic challenges through various palliative programmes.
“I urge residents to be patient and have faith in these initiatives, the government is working tirelessly to ensure that everyone benefits from the numerous palliatives put in place.
“While the exercise continues, I advise Lagos residents to take advantage and make best use of the ‘Ounje Eko Programme’ and other variety at all levels of the government initiatives.
“This is aimed at easing financial strains and ensuring that families have access to affordable and nutritious food items,” he added.
The Ojodu LCDA Chairman added that the Federal Government under Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu is committed to the welfare and working diligently to provide the necessary support during the trying times.
