Nigeria records five fresh cases of Coronavirus

 Minister of Health,  Osagie Ehanire today confirmed  five fresh  cases of Coronavirus in Nigeria.
Four of the cases were recorded in Lagos State and while one was in Ekiti State.
The minister who spoke at a press conference in Abuja said that three of the patients came from the United States of America, including a mother and child, while two others arrived from the United Kingdom through the  land borders.
The revelation brings the total number of confirmed cases in Nigeria to eight.
The index case, a 44-year-old Italian, and a 30-year-old Nigerian who recently returned from the UK are in isolation at the Infectious Diseases Hospital, Yaba, where they are being treated.
The second case, a Nigerian who contracted the virus from the index case in Ogun State, has recovered and has since been discharged.
So far, no one has died from the disease in Nigeria and one of the earlier three cases had completely recovered.
Boss Mustapha, Secretary to the Government of the Federation and Chairman of the Presidential Task Force on Coronavirus, had earlier announced that the Federal Government has issued a travel ban to travellers from 13 countries who have recorded over 1,000 cases of the global pandemic
The affected countries are; China, Italy, Iran, South Korea, Spain, Japan, France, Germany, United States of America, Norway, United Kingdom, Netherlands and Switzerland.
