Nduka Otiono Wins FASS Research Excellence Award

Director of the Institute of African Studies, Dr. Nduka Otiono, has been announced as one of the winners of the 2023 Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences (FASS) Research Excellence Award.

According to the latest edition of the Weekly Newsletter of the Institute of African Studies, Carleton University, Canada, the annual awards recognize outstanding researchers from Carleton’s academic staff.

Other recipients  include  Jennifer Evans (History), Barbara Leckie (English), Derek Mueller (DGES) and  Paul Nelles (History).

Dean of the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences (FASS), Dr. Pauline Rankin. Who made the announcement, in a statement, noted that ‘’the impressive number of high-quality applications, adjudicated by the FASS Executive and ODFASS, made decisions very challenging.”
