Maida Commends Katsina Gov’s Telecom Policies

Nigerian Communication Commission (NCC) Boss, Dr. Aminu Maida has commended Katsina State Governor Dikko Umaru Radda for his proactive approach to waiving Right of Way (RoW) charges for telecom firms.

Maida, who spoke at NCC’s office in Abuja, said Radda was the first governor to remove obstacles like RoW charges and ensure the success of broadband initiatives.

While speaking, Governor Radda highlighted the policies and programmes implemented in Katsina State, demonstrating a clear understanding of the pivotal role digital connectivity infrastructure plays in fostering economic development.

The governor solicited the Commission’s support in enhancing the telecommunications and internet infrastructure across various ministries, departments, agencies, hospitals, and schools in Katsina State.

Radda also commended the National Broadband Alliance project initiated by the Minister of Communication, Innovation, and Digital Economy, Bosun Tijani, and stressed Katsina State’s desire to collaborate with the technological initiative and be part of the digital economy agenda of the federal government.
