Presidential aspirant and former Governor of Lagos State, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu today met 14 governors elected on the platform of the All Progressive Congress (APC) in Abuja.
Kwara State Governor, Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq reportedly returned from London early this morning to join his colleagues at the meeting.
Tinubu while fielding questions from journalists said he has ‘no son’ that is grown up enough to declare for the presidency.
The APC National Leader while responding to questions shortly after his meeting with the party’s governors on his presidential aspiration at the Kebbi State Governors’ Lodge, Asokoro, Abuja, simply said, “I don’t have any son grown up enough to make such declaration.”
He, however, said his meeting with state governors on the platform of the party was to seek collaboration, support and encouragement concerning his 2023 presidential ambition.
At least, 12 of the governors had met Vice President Yemi Osinbajo yesterday ahead of his declaration. Osinbajo, earlier this morning, formally declared his intention to contest the 2023 presidential election.
