“I have no luxury of time”

….Zulum asserts after getting Certificate of Return

Borno State Governor Babagana Zulum  set to work on his second term duties immediately he got his certificate of return, insisting that   he does not have the luxury of time to carry out the task of governing his state.

“I want to assure the people of Borno State that insha Allah we will not relent in our efforts to reposition Borno State to greater heights. I will commit to making sure that insha’Allah, we will work 100% for the benefit of the citizens of Borno State, ” he said.

Zulum made the statement yesterday while receiving his Certificate of Return as the elected governor of the state for a second term at the Borno State office of the Independent National Electoral Commission in Maiduguri.


INEC’s National Commissioner in charge of Bauchi, Borno and Yobe States, Major General Madibbo Alkali (rtd), made the presentation on behalf of INEC Chairman, Professor Yakubu Muhammad.


On his second term drive, Zulum said he will focus on security, health, education, agriculture and food security, job creation, youth and women empowerment, urban renewal, flood prevention, rehabilitation and resettlement.
