Former Ekiti state Governor Kayode Fayemi has commended his successor, Governor Biodun Oyebanji for the giant strides he’s making in the state.
Fayemi made the commendation at the retreat for members of Ekiti State Executive Council and accounting officers in Ado-Ekiti at the weekend.
He said Governor Oyebanji has already impacted positively with his people-oriented approach and has united the citizens irrespective of party affiliations.
Fayemi also appealed to the new commissioners to take the cue and avoid actions that can negate the good intentions of the government.
“I am happy to say that Governor Oyebanji is doing a great job. The evidence is all over the place. He is also out there relating well with the people regardless of their political leaning. He has been able to broaden the base and bring more admiration for government. “Governor Oyebanji has almost turned the state into a one party state- the Ekiti Party. The issue here is we should not become internal enemy to ourselves. As commissioners, don’t become poison in the system”, he said.
He urged the new appointees to key into the Ekiti 30- year master plan as well as the six- pillar development agenda of the Oyebanji administration.
Responding, Governor Oyebanji thanked Fayemi for his words of advice and laying a sound foundation for good governance in the state…
