The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) yesterday barred Ms. Ejikeme Joy Mmesoma for three years, insisting that the result she is parading as her own is fake.
“The management of the Board, after considering the weighty infraction committed by Ms. Ejikeme Joy Mmesoma, and in line with its established procedures, has withdrawn her 2023 UTME result and also barred her from sitting the Board’s examination for the next three years, ” the organisation stated in a statement signed by the Acting Director (PAP), Dr. Fabian Benjamin.
“The candidate simply falsified a copy of a result slip of a candidate named “Asimiyu Mariam Omobolanle”, who sat the UTME in 2021 and scored 138,” he said.
He said that the decision was arrived at after due consideration by the JAMB Board while the case has been handed over to relevant security agencies for a thorough investigation.
Benjamin who gave the assurance that the organisation’s system was not compromised, in any way, hinted that efforts would be made to unravel the riddle of how the candidate’s result was altered.
He advised the public to look at the matter with an unbiased mind and await the result of investigations.
