Executive Vice Chairman and Chief Executive Officer (EVC/CEO) of the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) Prof Umar Garba Danbatta has urged Muslims faithful to pray for peace and progress of the country.
Danbatta who felicitated with Muslims on this year’s Eid-El Fitri celebration which marks the end of the holy month of Ramadan, described the occasion as an important religious day which is also known as the “feast of breaking the fast”, as celebrated by Muslims globally.
“As we celebrate this special day, we pray that Almighty Allah accepts our supplications and acts of Ibadah. May He grant us joy, happiness and fulfilment in all our endeavours.We equally pray for peace to reign on our land at this trying time of our national life,’’ he prayed.
The Commission in its verified Twitter handle, wished all the Muslim brothers in Nigeria a peaceful celebration and urged them to pray for eternal peace in the country.
