Cross River Paramount rulers, first class chiefs declare support for Ayade

Paramount rulers from the eighteen local government areas of Cross River State and first class chiefs yesterday paid a solidarity visit to Governor  Ben Ayade.

Chairman,    state traditional rulers council and paramount ruler of Bakassi, His Royal Highness, Etinyin Etim Okon Edet, led the traditional rulers to commend  the governor and his administration.

The traditional rulers who met with the governor at the State Executive Council Chamber of the Governor’s office, Calabar, commended him for the development strides of his administration.

The monarchs lauded the industrialization effort of the government, stating that the industries will create jobs for the people of the state.

While urging him to be resolute in his pursuit of a better future for the state, they expressed solidarity with his government as it seeks to create an economy for the state that will be less dependent on federal allocation.

“We came to give you solidarity, that we are behind you in the process of rebuilding Cross River state,” said Etinyin Etim Okon Edet.

Responding, Governor Ayade expressed immense delight at the visit of the monarchs.

He described their visit as his most comforting moment since the national crisis.
