All Progressives Congress (APC) has sent a condolence message to the government and people of Vietnam over the death of the Secretary General of the ruling Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV), Nguyen Phu Trong.
It described the late Nguyen Phu Trong as pivotal to achieving independence for Vietnam. He was also in the vanguard in the fight against corruption and other vices.
”Nguyen Phu Trong was a bridge builder for development, peace and international cooperation. At the Party level, he contributed immensely to building the Communist Party of Vietnam, especially the Party building and rectification. His passing, considered a colossal loss to both Vietnam and the international community, marks the end of an era,” the statement added.
