Anger Trails Rise In Pump Price Of Petrol To N1,030/litre

By Augustine Akhilomen

Nigerians have expressed widespread anger following reports of a hike in the pump price of fuel to N1,030 per litre by the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL).

The news of the price increase broke on Wednesday morning, with reports indicating that NNPCL retail outlets had adjusted their meters from N855 per litre to N1,030 per litre in Lagos.

The latest price increase makes it the second time the petrol price has been hiked in the past month.

The company had in September increased pump price from N615 per litre to N897.

However, many are scared of how this will impact the cost of other goods and commodities and others are sarcastically mocking supporters of this current administration.
