Akpabio Mourns Elder Inima Umoessien

President of the Senate, Godswill Akpabio led some of his distinguished colleagues, to the burial ceremony of Late Elder Inima Umoessien; father of his Special Assistant on Protocols, Kufre Inima, at the Methodist Church Nigeria Uruk Uso Circuit, Diocese of Ikot Ekpene, Akwa Ibom State.

He stated that he was at the ceremony with his colleagues to pay his last respect to a friend, and to honour a loyal staff, who stood by him when others abandoned him, when he moved to the APC in 2018.

He called on others to “emulate Mr Inima, who rejected overtures from the then government of the state to abandon me for cash and car, but he turned it down.”

Shortly after the burial ceremony, he and his colleagues, visited the family house of the Inimas, where they signed the condolence register and also prayed for the widow and the children.

Senators who accompanied the Senate President to the burial ceremony include, Senate Deputy Majority Whip, Onyekachi Nweboyin, Senators Sunday Karimi, Barinada Mbigi, Mustapha Saliu, Eteng Williams, Diket Plank, Benson Agadada, Zam Zam, Ekong Sampson and Aniekan Bassey among numerous others
