Afuze Sports Varsity, Group Applauds President Tinubu

The Tinubu Campaign Organisation (TCO) has commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for signing into law the bill establishing the Federal University of Sports in Afuze, Edo State.

In a press release issued in Abuja, TCO’s National Coordinator, Joshua Ohioma Ilevbare, praised President Tinubu’s commitment to extending democracy’s benefits to the Owan sub-ethnic community and Edo State as a whole.

“This gesture has earned President Tinubu a special place in the hearts of Edo State indigenes, who will undoubtedly rally behind him for re-election in 2027,” the group stated.

TCO also commended Professor Julius Omozuanvbo Ihonvbere, House of Representatives leader, for sponsoring the bill and leveraging his relationships with colleagues to realize his constituents’ wishes.

The group noted that the synergy between President Tinubu and Professor Ihonvbere would elevate Nigeria’s sports industry and empower young Nigerians in specialised sports disciplines.

As Nigeria’s first sports university, the Federal University of Sports in Afuze will offer programs in sports administration, coaching, performance evaluation, sports medicine, and sports law.

This establishment aligns with the Tinubu administration’s Renewed Hope Agenda, aiming to diversify Nigeria’s higher education sector and address the growing demands of the sports industry.

The group encouraged all Nigerians to trust the government’s commitment to driving positive change, expect more impactful developments in the coming months, and look forward to a brighter future for the nation.
