A 75-year-old grandmother by the name of Iforiti Oloro allegedly ignited flames on her son, daughter-in-law, and two grandchildren on Tuesday, March 21, 2023 in Ondo.
The incident took place in Aponmu community, a small village situated on the outskirts of Akure, the Ondo state capital.
According to sources, Oloro was accused of pouring petrol in the residential building which also housed her son, Victor Oloro, and his family of two.
As a result of the fire, the victims were immediately rushed to the Federal Medical Hospital Owo.
Unfortunately, the medical personnel at the hospital confirmed that the man, his wife, and one of the children lost their lives.
It was learnt that the remaining child is still receiving medical care at the hospital.
Authorities are currently investigating the situation to determine the motive behind the incident .
